Nacelle-mounted lidar is increasingly leveraged for Power Performance Verification of wind turbines: It is cost-efficient, accepted, easy to install and can measure at great distances on even the largest turbines – with accuracy and reliability better than met masts. The upcoming IEC 61400-50-3 standard will confirm its acceptance as a go-to technology for Power Performance Verification.
