Ecological bio-decontamination with vaporized hydrogen peroxide

Vaporized hydrogen peroxide is an ecological bio-decontamination agent that decomposes into water and oxygen, leaving no residue. This has led to its widespread use in  bio-decontamination processes.

As a leading developer of measurement instruments for demanding environments, we set out to create the best possible technology for measuring those processes.

Repeatable measurements in rooms, isolators, transfer hatches, and other equipment ensures effective log kills and improves cycle development and process control.

Vaisala HPP270 Series Probes

The unique 3-in-1 probe PEROXCAP® HPP272 for measuring H2O2, humidity and temperature has been developed further and the accuracy is now in a wider temperature range. Furthermore, dew point and vapor pressure measurements are available.

There is also a new type of probe available; the HPP271 was developed for applications where only hydrogen peroxide (ppm) and temperature dew point measurements are needed.

The probes can be calibrated and adjusted on-site with humidity by using Vaisala Insight PC Software and a humidity calibrator such as Vaisala HMK15 salt calibrator.

Vaisala HPP270 Series

Easy Calibration

On-site calibration of the HPP270 probes for %RH and %RS is easy to perform with any humidity chamber, or Vaisala’s HMK15 calibration kit.  A freshly calibrated HPP sensor can also be used as a reference device during on-site calibration if stable H2O2 conditions are available. For the best measurement accuracy, traceable factory calibration is available at Vaisala’s Service Center and includes calibration of both humidity and H2O2 measurements.

Customer Testimonials

“With the Vaisala unit I’m getting humidity and temperature, along with H2O2 concentration. This gives a more complete picture of what’s occurring  and that’s crucial in validation.”

Rick Nieskes, Ardien Consulting Services

“Today, Vaisala is the best technology on the market to measure the concentration of H2O2 reliably, accurately, and repeatably over time...”

Philippe Muylaert, STERIS SAS
