Giant Leap
Not just an internship.
Giant Leap Internship Program is your unique opportunity to take the lead in driving your own project for the summer, with the support of your supervisor and teammates. To help make your project successful, we invest in your learning with a structured training program, and provide a platform to showcase your skills and passions. Giant Leap is organized annually during the summertime. The application period takes place at the beginning of the year.
Year-round internships
Vaisala welcomes a wide range of curious minds in technical and non-technical fields to kickstart their careers and gain hands-on work experience. Trainees are an invaluable part of our teams. Here you will not be the only one learning, as we also value learning from you.
Trainee roles may be available throughout the year across different teams. Most of our trainee opportunities are summer trainee positions, which are typically opened for applications in the beginning of the year. You can follow all open trainee positions on our list of open positions.
Thesis Work
Your thesis can be more than an academic exercise. Each year, students complete their final theses at Vaisala, usually by contributing to a wider development project. Master's thesis work is typically completed through a six-month fixed-term contract.
Thesis opportunities often grow from work started during a traineeship or Giant Leap project. In addition, we occasionally have thesis positions open for applications that you can find on our list of open positions.
