Enhancing Supplier Collaboration
“Digitalization of Supplier Collaboration” is one of next summer’s Operations Development projects. Jarmo Vuorensola, Senior Manager for Business Area Sourcing (Vaisala Industrial Measurements Business Area) and Elina Kalenius (Category Manager) describe the project in a bit more detail.

Suppliers are an integral part of Vaisala’s success, which is why we want to enhance collaboration with them even further. “Digitalization of Supplier Collaboration” is a totally new endeavor in Vaisala and the next step in increasing information sharing with our suppliers. The goal of the project is to make information and material easily available for them.
In the project, the Giant Leap intern will get to create e-learning content in our supplier collaboration platform. The project is most interesting, as the intern can have true influence on the content and its structure in the collaboration platform. This is an opportunity to have impact on how we communicate and collaborate with our suppliers.
As the intern in our project, you have the chance to get a great overview on Vaisala, as you will cooperate with several teams and stakeholders throughout the company. You will work with professionals from Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Product Change Management and the IT, collecting information from them. You will use this information to create content for the platform independently and adjust the content based on comments. Throughout the project as well as at the end of the summer, you will present the results of your work and research.
We hope you are an active and open-minded person with a creative mindset. To succeed in this project, you should also have a background in Media/Digital communication with some basic studies in IT systems, Web Design or Sourcing.
