Polyurethanes (PUs) are a class of versatile materials with great potential for use in different applications. They are used in the manufacture of many different items, such as paints, liquid coatings, elastomers, insulators, elastics, foams and integral skins. Polyurethanes are produced by polymerization of a diisocyanate with a polyol.

The refractometer can be installed directly in the polymerization reactor to monitor continuously the progress of the reaction.
