Temperature Probe TMP1

for demanding temperature measurements

DNV - Type Approved Product

Vaisala Temperature Probe TMP1 is designed for demanding temperature measurements in industrial applications such as pharmaceutical industry and calibration laboratories, where accuracy and robustness are essential. The TMP1 is part of the Indigo family and compatible with Indigo500, Indigo300, and Indigo200 series transmitters.

Features

  • Accurate measurement (see the datasheet for specifications)
  • Wide temperature range (see the datasheet for specifications)
  • Modbus RTU over RS-485
  • Plug & play compatible with Indigo™ series of transmitters
  • Traceable 2-point calibration certificate

Key Benefits

Flexible connectivity

The probe is plug and play compatible with Vaisala Indigo™ series of transmitters, or it can be used as a standalone digital Modbus RTU transmitter over RS-485 serial bus.

Part of Vaisala Indigo™ product family

Indigo transmitters offer a variety of connectivity options through analog signals or digital outputs, and configurable relays.

Relative humidity measurements in high humidities

When the TMP1 probe is connected to a control system with HMP7, it is possible to have relative humidity measurement in actual process temperature while using probe heating in the relative humidity probe HMP7.

Optimized drying process helps Isolava cut energy consumption and improve end-product quality

Isolava began a project to optimize the drying process, led by Project Engineer Peter Vaneyghen. The first step was to install humidity sensors in the dryer in order to get a better understanding of the dynamics of the drying process. The consumption of natural gas alone has decreased by some 20% and the annual savings across all ten dryers add up to hundreds of thousands of euros.
