Product Safety Notification: Veriteq Data Loggers
Veriteq Data Loggers, Spectrum Model 5, have in rare cases experienced over-heating of the lithium battery. These devices were produced between 1997 to 2013. There have been three reported cases globally. Although the possibility of the battery over-heating is extremely small, Vaisala recommends to immediately stop using affected data loggers and dispose of them according to instructions.
Vaisala has identified that in very rare cases the Veriteq-branded Data Loggers are subject to potentially experience over-heating when using the Data Logger connected to network via an external serial or USB
