The Vaisala PEROXCAP® HPP270 series probes feature both digital and analog outputs. The probe was developed for manufacturers, service providers, and end-users who use vaporized H2O2 in bio-decontamination processes. In addition to H2O2, the probe measures temperature and humidity, referring to relative saturation and relative humidity, dew point, and vapor pressure. In terms of long-term stability, the bio-decontamination process is especially challenging, since vaporized hydrogen peroxide is not only harmful for the living organisms, but for measurement technologies as well. The accuracy specification of a new instrument may not apply to the sensor that has been exposed several times to hydrogen peroxide bio-decontamination cycles. Good quality assessment requires analyzing empirical data that can and should be collected from various sources.
