DMP370 intrinsically safe dew point instrument

for hazardous locations

For Hydrogen. Biomethane. Natural gas. And more. All the places where moisture control isn't a nice-to-have but a requirement.

Where failure is not an option

Picture the hour before failure. When nothing looks wrong yet but water vapor is already at work: eating catalysts, seeding corrosion, rewriting your process chemistry one ppm at a time. By the time anyone notices, it's already cost you lost production, a maintenance log entry, or an unexplained shutdown. The DMP370 is built to take back that hour.

Right at home in explosive environments

Vaisala DMP370 measures dew point in the places where a single spark can end everything: hydrogen production sites, natural gas infrastructure, biomethane plants. It doesn't just survive out there. It thrives, giving you back the time that moisture usually steals.

Intrinsically safe

DMP370 was built to stand exactly where explosion risk is highest, not somewhere safely adjacent to it. Intrinsically safe, flammable-gas-proof, combustible-dust-proof. Certified for Zone 0 and Class I Div 1. One solution with quick-swappable probes, ready for the most demanding use.

Up to 20x faster response

Hydrogen and methane are restless by nature, and minimal moisture is quick to punish an operation that can't keep pace. The DMP370 makes aluminum oxide sensors look slow.

It responds up to 20 times faster, and is quick to recover from water spikes that would incapacitate conventional sensors. What's more, its exceptional sensitivity means it won't "go to sleep" even when facing continuously low moisture levels long term.

See trouble before it becomes a story

The onboard display shows status and diagnostics as they happen, not months later in a service report. Catch drift while it's still a footnote, not the headline of your next unplanned outage.

That's the whole idea: act on the hour before failure, not the aftermath.

Stable today, stable tomorrow

Two years of factory-calibrated validity, and our new, innovative drift-correction mechanism keeps performance exactly where you left it. Quietly and reliably, without asking for your attention.

The result? Exceptional stability from day one on.

Built to keep running

Premium materials shrug off the contaminants that would eat a lesser probe alive. When one does wear out — rare, but possible — you swap it in minutes, no new transmitter, no waiting on a technician, no drama.

For a new hydrogen, biomethane, or natural gas site, that means uninterrupted operation from day one, not a slow wait for the first sensor to fail.

Made for a wide range of applications

From Hydrogen production to Biomethane/RNG or Natural Gas, DMP370 is made to deliver the dew point measurements you rely on to keep your process running. And the applications don't stop there.

It will feel right at home in other Ex applications from Power-to-Gas and even Synthetic Aviation Fuel (eSAF) to battery manufacturing using the dry electrode process, where combustible carbon dust is present.

Vaisala’s intrinsically safe HMT370EX is ideal for hazardous areas up to zone 0 and 20. Relative humidity, temperature and other parameters.
