Data center measurement solutions
For buildings that cannot afford to fail
When nothing but 100% uptime will do
Data centers depend on precise environmental control and reliable power infrastructure. A single sensor error or undetected asset fault can lead to downtime, energy waste, and loss of critical, irreplaceable assets.
Vaisala delivers the accurate, stable measurements your systems depend on, from cooling systems to critical power transformers.

years of measurement expertise
Measurements you can build a data center around
Vaisala has been on the forefront of measurement science for 90 years and is trusted in thousands of critical facilities across 150 countries.
Our technology is built for environments and climates where getting it wrong is not an option.
From air to coolant to critical power assets
Vaisala measurement solutions cover three key dimensions of data center reliability. The environmental conditions that keep servers safe. The cooling fluids that manage thermal load. And the critical power transformers that keep the facility running.
Environmental monitoring and cooling measurements
Accurate sensing is the foundation of efficient data center cooling. Vaisala's instruments help you maintain safe operating conditions, optimise airflow management, and demonstrate compliance — whether you are designing a new facility or operating an existing one.
- Temperature, humidity, and differential pressure
- Environmental monitoring for critical spaces
- Air cooling optimization through accurate measurements
- Reliable measurements for liquid cooling systems
- Early detection of conditions that threaten uptime
Coolant health monitoring
Coolant concentration changes over time. Water evaporates, top-ups dilute the mix, and the glycol-water ratio moves off-spec — quietly. The result is lost freeze protection, corrosion, biological growth, and thermal efficiency loss that shows up only as unexplained energy cost or eventual equipment damage. Inline, real-time measurement detects changes in glycol concentration as they happen — no sampling, no lab delay.
- Protect uptime — prevent chip overheating and cooling-related outages
- Prevent freezing and frost damage in cold weather
- Reduce the risk of bacterial growth clogging micro-fin
- Avoid component wear and loss of thermal performance
- Drift-free measurement — no consumables or recalibration
Power transformer condition monitoring
Power transformers are among the most valuable and hardest-to-replace assets in any data center. Vaisala's online DGA monitors provide always-on insight into fault gas trends, as well as moisture and thermal behaviour of your critical generation and distribution transformers. So you can detect emerging faults before they develop into serious, costly outages or irreplaceable loss.
- Online DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis)
- Early fault detection and gassing trend alerts
- Maintenance-free monitoring
- Moisture & temperature in transformer oil
- Integration to your SCADA and other systems, with cloud access and fleet view available
