Sea trials | WASP optimization | compliance | fuel savings

Wind-assisted ship propulsion (WASP) is transforming maritime decarbonization — but are you maximizing its potential? Precise wind data is the key to unlocking peak performance, fuel savings and ROI.

In this exclusive webinar, experts from DNV, Norsepower and Vaisala will explain why accurate, undisturbed wind measurement is critical for validating wind-assisted propulsion performance and for further system optimization. Experts will also discuss why wind lidar is the new industry standard for WASP system optimization and how it can maximize the value of sea trial wind measurements. Join us to stay ahead and lead the future of sustainable shipping.

Top benefits of attending:

  • Stay ahead of regulations: Learn how to navigate the latest standards, including ISO 15016:2025 and ITTC guidelines, for wind-assisted vessels
  • Maximize performance & ROI: Discover how accurate wind data drives system optimization, fuel savings, and faster returns on your WASP investments
  • Gain practical insights: See real-world applications of wind lidar in sea trials and ongoing vessel operations

What will we cover?

  • The regulatory framework for vessel sea trials and key considerations for wind-assisted propulsion systems
  • Why accurate, undisturbed wind measurement is critical for validating and optimizing wind-assisted propulsion performance
  • How wind lidar technology enables dynamic WASP system optimization and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Best practices for maximizing the value of sea trial wind measurements and extending insights into operational fuel savings
