Andrew Hastings Black is a Research and Applications Engineer at Vaisala. His focus is on the use of lidar for wind energy applications. He has worked in wind energy since 2008, developing sensors and algorithms at Vaisala and Second Wind, including WindCube, Triton, and the X- and C-band weather radars. 

Andrew serves in international expert working groups such as the IEC and IEA, helping to bring new lidar measurement techniques into industrial use. He has a BA in Physics from Tufts University and an MS in Applied Physics from Columbia University.

Science & Application Engineer

Anomitro Datta is a Science & Application Engineer for Wind Energy at Vaisala, where he supports the WindCube Scan lidar through scientific validation and performance analysis. Drawing on his background in Wind Energy Engineering, he develops data algorithms and evaluates metrological performance to advance the dual scanning lidar technology.
His work bridges research and business, transforming wind measurements into insights that drive innovation in renewable energy.

Lamia Fejjari became a part of Vaisala in 2022, specializing in solar offerings and is currently the market development manager for Solar industry. With a deep passion for renewable energy, she actively seeks to understand the challenges faced by customers. Lamia is determined to assist them in overcoming these struggles and attaining the optimal Return on Investment (ROI) for their projects. 

Her expertise lies in precise weather and environmental measurements and solutions, enabling accurate assessments and efficient optimization of Solar projects.

Ryan Matt joined Vaisala in 2024 and serves as the Technical Solutions Manager for wind energy related lidar projects. With extensive remote sensing experience across industries such as aviation, military, aerospace, and now wind energy, he brings broad expertise to his role. His in-depth knowledge of Vaisala's core lidar products allows him to deliver tailored solutions for any wind energy data collection challenge.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado University.
