Accurate measurement

Quickly and accurately detect rain and snow with the Vaisala Rain Detector DRD11A. The instrument operates via droplet detection rather than by signal level threshold. A special delay circuitry allows for about a two-minute interval between raindrops before assuming an OFF (no rain) position. This enables the sensor to accurately distinguish between rain cessation and light rain.

Additionally, the DRD11A was designed with several elements in mind to keep the sensor free of snow and condensed moisture for quick drying.
