Grant funding helps every community monitor air quality

On December 13, 2021, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the Enhanced Air Quality Monitoring for Communities Grant Competition, with funding from the American Rescue Plan (ARP).
The objective of the grant, $20 million in total funds, is to enhance ambient air quality monitoring in and near underserved communities across the country. Community-based nonprofit organizations, Indian tribes, states and local governments are eligible to apply.
