Darshan Sathiyanarayanan works as an Application Manager in Vaisala’s wind Lidar data processing team. Darshan’s main focus is to value the high potential of the powerful Doppler wind Lidar technology to harness new business possibilities. He holds an M.Sc. in Fluid Dynamics and is actively exploring the challenges he can tackle with the usage of Vaisala’s industry leading Lidar technology.

As the Market Development Manager for Vaisala’s WindCube wind lidar suite, Aurélie tailors her deep understanding of renewable energy to help wind energy professionals solve the challenges of wind and weather measurement with innovation and enthusiasm. She works to bring emerging trends to life for the benefit of customers and the wind energy industry from the Vaisala location in Saclay, France. Aurélie has built her expertise in product and technology development through decades of industry experience founded on a Master of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering.

Rémy Parmentier is Head of Business Development for Solar and Hybrid Energy Solutions at Vaisala. With over two decades in renewable energy, he has been instrumental in positioning the WindCube® lidar as a global reference for wind resource assessment, supporting developers, utilities, and financiers in optimizing projects worldwide. He combines deep market insight with a passion for innovation to accelerate the transition to clean energy.

Mithu is currently the Manager of the Wind Performance Engineering team at AES Clean Energy in Louisville, Colorado. His works deal with wind project contracts, executions, and performance evaluations.

Before joining AES, Mithu completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. Mithu joined NREL in 2018 where he led the team who conceived and designed the American Wake Experiment.

His efforts at NREL also included numerical simulation of wind turbine wakes, atmospheric research, and experimental planning for several field campaigns in wind and solar energy. Mithu authored and co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr Rémy Parmentier is working as the Strategy and Market Development Manager at Vaisala Renewable Energy. He is in charge of Vaisala Solar Energy strategy, business and offering development. Having joined Vaisala Leosphere in 2006 he lead for 10 years the Windcube Lidar R&D team and contributed actively to demonstrating worldwide the benefits of the Lidar technology.

Dr Parmentier holds a PhD in Physics from Univ. of Aix-Marseille (France) and previously worked for Schlumberger (optical sensors and systems development) and the French Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (fiber optic sensors modeling).

Francesca has over 4 years of experience in the solar energy industry. She joined RINA around 1 year ago as a PV solar consultant.

Francesca is specialized in performing irradiance assessments, energy yield assessments, PV layouts and technical studies. She has experience in different phases of PV projects worldwide, from the early development to the construction phase.

Francesca is committed to increasing awareness regarding the importance of conducting a detailed irradiance assessment during the development of a PV project.

Andrew Winchester is an Asset Manager at the Bureau of Meteorology, with 17 years of experience in operating and managing upper air, solar, and ozone equipment across 38 sites (including 4 in Antarctica). Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography and Meteorology.

Maxime holds a PhD in Physical Oceanography and a Master's degree in theoretical physics. His research focuses on the characterization of turbulence in the ocean and atmosphere from measurements collected at tidal and wind energy sites. He has been involved in numerous sensors deployments in Europe and North America as chief scientist.
