Dr Parmentier holds a PhD in Physics from Univ. of Aix-Marseille (France) and previously worked for Schlumberger (optical sensors and systems development) and the French Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (fiber optic sensors modeling).

Dounia has over 4 years of experience in the solar energy sector, spanning both research and industry. She joined EDF Renewables approximately two years ago as a Solar Assessment Dr. Engineer. Her daily tasks encompass conducting analyses of solar resources and PV plant layouts to determine energy yield assessments.

Additionally, as the solar resource measurement expert within the solar engineering team, Dounia is responsible for maintaining the data quality used in energy yield assessments and overseeing the technology associated with various sensors available in the market.
