The conference is organized as a joint meeting of European Society for Sugar Technology (ESST) and Verein Deutscher Zuckertechniker (VDZ) – the venue will be the Musik- und Kongresshalle (MuK) Lübeck.

It will be the 9th pan-European conference for sugar technology bringing together sugar technologists from all European sugar producing countries. It encompasses a large exhibition next to the conference hall.
