Vaisala radiosondes

Vaisala has been producing and selling radiosondes since 1936, when the company was founded by Professor Väisälä on the strength of his first radiosonde. From 1936 to the present day, Vaisala has steadily introduced new RS-series radiosondes offering evolutionary improvements in PTU measurement and wind-finding. Today we offer two radiosonde families, the RS80 and the RS92. For many years, the RS80 has been the basic device of upper-air weather observation around the world but the modern era in sounding is being measured with the Vaisala  Radiosonde RS92. It offers the world’s highest level of PTU measurement performance and continuous wind data availability.  Vaisala continues on constactly developing and improving the latest RS92 radiosonde faminy and the equipment related to it.

Vaisala Radiosonde RS92

The New Shape of Upper-Air Weather Observation is composed of the Vaisala Radiosonde RS92 family, the Vaisala DigiCORA® Sounding System MW21 and DigiCORA® sounding software and the Vaisala Ground Check Set GC25.

Vaisala Radiosonde RS80

The Vaisala Radiosonde RS80 family has served the meteorological organizations of the world with distinction for some 20 years.

Vaisala Ground Check Set GC25

The Vaisala Ground Check Set GC25 is used with the Vaisala Radiosonde RS92 family. It is easier to use than older Vaisala ground check sets and offers the important advantage of humidity sensor reconditioning for optimum humidity measurement performance.
