Puhuri develops wind about as far north as you possibly can — in the far northern reaches of Finland. After considering several methods of reducing uncertainty in wind resource at the hub height of their nearly 140-meter-hub-height turbines, the Puhuri team chose, and continues to use, Vaisala's Triton Wind Profiler. Triton offers:

  • High accuracy and data recovery even under extreme weather conditions
  • The ability to make fast greenfield prospecting decisions, and conduct wind resource assessments more rapidly
  • Durability, reliability, and low maintenance costs
"Vaisala's Triton is the only practical way to reduce the uncertainty in our annual energy projections" — Teppo Hilakivi, Technical Expert, Puhuri
