Why is the BWS500 not powering up or sending data? The battery in the power supply unit PSU501 may be fully discharged due to, for example, long storage time or extreme environmental conditions. In solar-powered sites, the battery may be discharged because the solar panel has not received enough sunlight. If the battery is fully discharged, PSU501 does not provide enough power for EGW501 to start the station. You have to wait until the battery reaches a sufficient state of charge. If AC (mains) power is connected, the charging can take up to 30 minutes. If DC power is connected, the waiting time may be longer.
