Vaisala IceCast Road Surface Meteorology Training Course

General

This course will provide the trainees with a basic understanding of road meteorology through the interpretation of actual weather data and forecast information displayed in the IceView or IceWeb software. This course is aimed at trainees who wish to learn about the meteorological factors at work at the road or runway surface.

  • The impact of de-icing chemicals on the formation of ice
  • Non-meteorological influences on the road surface temperature
  • How are site-specific forecasts created
