The Vaisala RWIS / ESS Maintenance Service

Vaisala offers a range of maintenance contracts, supported by the 24 hour Global HelpDesk. The RWIS / ESS Maintenance Service reinforces Vaisala's commitment to the provision of reliable, continuous data.

The Sensor Monitoring service highlights faults either with data provison or quality, and may be provided as part of a maintenance agreement. Once a sensor fault has been identified and escalated, a Vaisala weather station engineer will visit to rectify the fault, adhering to strict callout response time guidelines.

For instances of a station not responding, depending upon the specific maintenance agreement, the customer may be asked to visit in order to ensure that power and communications are operating, vandalism has not taken place and to reset the site. If the station remains inactive, following this site visit a callout will be raised to a Vaisala engineer.

Vaisala maintained RWIS / ESS are serviced annually to ensure that the site is in good working order, with all sensors reading correctly, and providing a reliable data stream.  This enables the winter maintenance service engineer to have confidence in the received data, on which critical treatment decisions are made.
