Project management prior delivery

Our involvement in a delivery project starts at the planning phase, before any Vaisala Aviation Weather systems or solutions reach your site. As a solid foundation the product development, production and delivery process of both standard and customer-specific systems are governed by a company-wide Quality Plan, which is ISO 9001:2000 certified. The quality of each weather observation system is therefore ensured through production tests, inspections and also release tests emulating real-life conditions.

Topographical and geographical considerations are of the utmost importance when siting Vaisala Aviation Weather sensors and systems. At an early phase of the project, airport construction or expansion, for example, Vaisala siting experts can conduct a site survey to find appropriate locations for the weather sensors required.

Additionally a customised Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), where the hardware and software of Vaisala Aviation system is thoroughly inspected according to a checklist of performance parameters, can be conducted in co-operation to gain also a better insight into how your system works. Customer acceptance of the completed FAT constitutes authorization to ship and invoice system according to the terms of the contract.
