Vaisala Radiosonde RS80
The Vaisala Radiosonde RS80 family has served the
meteorological organizations of the world with distinction for some 20 years.
With the introduction of the current generation of Vaisala radiosondes, the
Vaisala Radiosonde RS92 family, the stage is set for a new era in upper-air
weather observation.
Everything is in place for users of 400 MHz RS80 radiosondes
to make a smooth transition to the RS92 and the world’s highest level of PTU
measurement performance supported by continuous wind data availability.
Sounding system upgrades have been assembled for users of DigiCORA® MW21
sounding systems and older DigiCORA® generations. A new, easier-to-use ground
check set and continuously improving DigiCORA® sounding software are part of
the package.
