Vaisala Processing Unit DMC586(M)

The Linux based DMC586 enhances the capability of the ROSA Weather Station, enabling an increase in the frequency of data received from the weather station.  The DMC586 also facilitates the capture, and handling of the Vaisala Weather Camera images, and enables use of various, international communication protocols.  The DMC586(M) version features a built-in 56k bit modem.

  • Facilitates communication protocols such as NTC/IP (U.S.A) and ERU
  • Store and make available images from Vaisala Weather Cameras
  • Pushes data and images out over the internet to the Vaisala Global Bureau or to an IceCast Server
