PWD12/PWD22 Present Weather Sensors and FD12P Weather Sensor

The FD12P, PWD12 and PWD22 are variable multi-sensors for automatic visibility measurement and present weather observation. The FD12P is widely used by the leading meteorological and aviation authorities around the world. While the PWD series of present weather sensors offer perfect solutions for a variety of visibility measurement applications and precipitation type detection. For example in road weather, waterway visibility measurement and meteorological weather stations.

The FD12P, PWD12 and PWD22 approximate the human senses of sight and touch as closely as possible in order to generate accurate visbility, precipitation and present weather values. Frozen and liquid precipitation is distinguished according to the ratio of the optical measurement value versus the amount of water measured on the capacitive precipitation sensor.
