Lightning and Electric Field Sensors

Vaisala offers lightning detection products for integration. The Thunderstorm Local Lightning Sensor TSS928 is a stand-alone instrument, based on optical, magnetic and electrostatic measurement, that detects cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning with zero false alarms. The Thunderstorm Electric Field Mill measures the local  atmospheric electric field for monitoring the development and  dissipation of overhead lightning.
