All around the world corporations have built and continue to build their quality systems around ISO standards.Vaisala has been certified according to previous ISO standards from 1993. During the current year Vaisala Group has been granted a new Certificate as a proof of the fact that Vaisala's Group-wide process based quality management system complies with the stringent requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
At Vaisala, international offices benefit from a common quality management system, available on Vaisala Intranet. Vaisala international offices will be audited by a third-party registrator at annual follow-up audits. It goes without saying, that improvement of both the approach and the deployment of the quality management system, is a continuous ongoing process.
Customer satisfaction information is also required, and Vaisala monitors information relating to Customer perception on how we meet their requirements. This information serves then as one of the key inputs for the Management Reviews.
“In addition to ISO standard based quality management system, Vaisala has already for six years been using Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence for development and continuous improvement”, says Jorma Antson, Quality Manager at Vaisala Group.
The Malcolm Baldrige Criteria are used as basis for Vaisala self-assessment and they are designed to help organizations use an integrated approach to organizational performance management. Benefits include improvement of overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities, organizational and personal learning and delivery of ever-improving value to customers.
