Why is there an option for more than one pressure transducer in the PTB330 and PTU300?

Additional barometric pressure transducers (Vaisala Barocap ® sensors) provide a backup in the rare event of  sensor failure. One additional transducer provides a single redundancy, so that if one sensor fails, operation can still continue with the other. Respectively, two additional transducers provide double redundancy. Additional transducers improve measurement reliability in airport, weather station and pressure standard applications.
