“Elevated dewpoint” refers to dewpoint temperatures that are higher than ambient temperature. Elevated dewpoints can be found in environmental chambers, incubators, and many industrial processes. Measuring elevated dewpoints requires special care. For example, if a handheld device is used to check the humidity in an incubator, the probe should be warmed to a temperature above the incubator dewpoint temperature to prevent condensation from forming on the humidity sensor. HM70 Hand-Held Humidity and Temperature Meters have an optional sensor pre-heat function for this purpose.
