Dewpoint in furnace gas

Water vapor is a key component in furnace atmospheres and feed gas, effecting the chemistry between gases and the metal parts that are in process. Because of the wide variety of thermal processes, target dewpoint temperatures range from –60°C to elevated levels of +35°C and sometimes higher. High process temperatures typically require sampling from the furnace to prevent the destruction of the dewpoint sensor.
