Breweries
and wineries rely on fermentation in their production process. In fermentation
processes, oxygen is vital for microbial metabolism and carbon dioxide a
by-product of this metabolism. In some fermentation processes, measuring the O2
and CO2 concentrations from process exhaust air is essential to
monitor the efficiency of the process. O2 and CO2
transmitters can be also used for safety monitoring and ventilation control in
the fermentation facilities.
