Road Weather Sensors

The key to any road weather system is the ability for sensors in or above the pavement to accurately determine road conditions. Pavement sensors can be embedded in the pavement or mounted non-intrusively to the side, or above, the road surface. These sensors allow the decision maker to read key parameters, such as pavement temperature, pavement conditions, amount of chemical, and surface friction or grip.
