The Vaisala IceCast System is a modular range of software which
helps road, rail and runway operators to minimise the effects of bad
weather. It gives information that is essential in making good
maintenance management decisions. IceCast integrates data from Vaisala
ROSA Weather Stations, forecasts from the local forecast provider,
forecasts generated by Vaisala forecast generation software, Thermal
Mapping data and optimised salting routes into a single system. IceCast
provides highly configurable modules with essential information
necessary to make rapid and accurate winter maintenance management
decisions and thus minimise the effects of adverse weather.
