Vaisala AWS Client software is used for viewing real-time weather parameter values in graphical and numerical formats, and for carrying out maintenance tasks on the Vaisala HydroMet™ Data Collection Platform and the QML logger. The software runs on a Pocket PC PDA with Windows Mobile 5.0 and serial line interface card or Bluetooth® support.

The supported connection methods to the QML logger are serial line and Bluetooth. AWS Client comes preconfigured with a number of displays for viewing various measurements and calculations carried out by the DCP system. In addition to the preconfigured displays, you can create your own displays with the information your application requires presented in the most suitable format. AWS Client also includes alarm functionality enabling you to create alarms to alert you, for example, when a sensor is not working properly or when measurement values exceed predefined limits.

AWS Client can be used for uploading and downloading QML logger configurations and log files, and for maintenance tasks, such as resetting the logger and setting it to a power-saving mode. AWS Client also offers a service connection to the QML logger, allowing you to access all the command-line functionality of the logger.
