Vaisala Veriteq viewLinc Monitoring, Alarming & Reporting software

 As part of the Vaisala Veriteq Continuous Monitoring System (CMS) viewLinc software provides alarming, real-time trending, and 21 CFR Part 11-compliant records for temperature, relative humidity, CO2, differential pressure, level, door switches, and more. Watch a 5 minute demonstration of viewLinc on YouTube.

Ideal for large-scale, multi-facility systems and standalone applications, viewLinc integrates with your existing network, eliminating the cost of installing and maintaining a dedicated network for a continuous monitoring system. The software supports Ethernet, PoE, WiFi or a combination of all connectivity options.

The viewLinc software allows user to monitor environments measured with Vaisala Veriteq data loggers and supported Vaisala devices via any current Web browser:  Microsoft® Internet Explorer® or Mozilla® Firefox®.  Interoperable Vaisala transmitters include the 300 series of Vaisala devices, including: HMT330, DMT340, MMT330, PTU300.

The newest version of viewLinc—version 4.0— features a mobile-optimized interface for remote monitoring, reporting and alarm management.  Along with location-based reporting and industry-best data logging capability, mobile access allows users to act on alarms immediately via smart phones and other devices.

Other features in the newest build of viewLinc include:
  • more customization options and capabilities in historical reports
  • drag-and-drop file management and drill down interface capability
  • live multiple-channel trend display for enhanced reporting
  • fast, remote and preconfigured reports delivered automatically and on your schedule
  • interface customization through schematic or image upload and data drill down
Built based on input from viewLinc users, the improved user interface of viewLinc 4.0 facilitates access to product data in a familiar Windows-type navigation and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 only (32 and 64 bit).

We offer viewLinc users warranties, software upgrades, technical support and user training services. The new viewLinc 4.0 version is available from March 2012 and language localized versions will be available in early summer 2012 in French, Chinese, German and Japanese.

Other viewLinc capabilities:
  • View real-time data in a graphical format and generate historical data trending and alarm reports;
  • Receive visual, audible or email alarms if conditions go out of compliance or if the network goes down;
  • Analyze events, such as alarms, acknowledgements or communication problems;
  • Schedule transfers of data into graphs and tables;
  • Create preconfigured comments for alarm notifications for specific monitored areas;

    Installing viewLinc with Digis

    This page is designed to walk you through the process of setting up your viewLinc system. Please complete the steps in the order they are shown.

    • Download the Quick Start Guide
    • These Quick Start documents contain instructions for a Digi One SP. If you have a Digi One SP, the Quick Start Guide is likely all you need to install the Digi software and viewLinc.

      If you have a Digi other than the Digi One SP, you'll find specific instructions below for other Digi models.

      The steps in the Quick Start guides must be repeated for each Digi device you plan to install. We recommend installing all Digi Devices before installing viewLinc.

      If you meet any of the following conditions, you need additional instructions. You should read these instructions before you follow the Quick Start Guide. All additional instructions refer to the steps in the Quick Start, so have it handy.

      Lost your Digi Configuration CD - see FAQ tab.

      You Must Use DHCP (can't assign static IP for Digi Device) - see FAQ tab.

      Using Digi PortServer TS 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 - see FAQ tab.

      Installing Digi on Different Subnet

      If you've read the appropriate instructions above and/or none of these additional conditions apply to you, you can follow along here:

    1. Connect the Digi Device to the Network
      Perform Step 1 in the Quick Start Guide

    2. Configure the Digi Device + Install the Digi Driver

      Perform Step 2 parts A - C in the Quick Start Guide

      If, for some reason, the "Install Digi RealPort on this computer" checkbox is not selected as recommended in the Quick Start Guide (Step 2 part C), you need to complete the extra step of installing the Digi RealPort Driver:

      To install Digi Real Port Driver (think of this as part D):

      • From the Digi Device Servers screen, click SOFTWARE.
      • Install Real Port Driver.
      • From the Digi Real Port Setup Wizard Welcome screen, click NEXT.
      • Select your device. Click NEXT.
      • From the Digi Real Port Setup Wizard, choose a COM port for the computer to use to talk to the Digi. Use COM 10 or higher to avoid conflicts. Make a note of this COM port.
      • Click NEXT. Click FINISH
    3. Install Veriteq Software
      Perform Step 3 and on in the Quickstart Guide
