Laboratory Monitoring

The Vaisala continuous monitoring system for laboratories and metrological applications ensures gap-free records so you always know what’s happening in the laboratory, even in the event of power outage or network discontinuity. To ensure repeatable measurements, Calibration Laboratories must monitor temperature and humidity, ensuring that these parameters are always within acceptable limits during calibrations. For quality and compliance purposes, these values must also be accurately documented. Regulatory and accreditation bodies often cite improperly recorded environmental conditions or incomplete records as a deficiency during audits.

Environmental Monitoring for Quality Calibrations and Repeatable Measurements

The Vaisala Laboratory monitoring system comprises viewLinc monitoring, alarming and reporting software and Vaisala’s NIST-traceable data loggers and instrumentation. Ideal for use in demanding metrological applications, viewLinc is the proven solution for accurate and cost-effective calibration lab monitoring. Offering significant savings in operating expense over chart recorders and hygrothermographs, Vaisala’s monitoring solution features an easy-to-use, browser based interface that connects easily to your existing network via standard Ethernet, PoE (Power over Ethernet), or WiFi.
The Vaisala continuous monitoring system reduces the risk of non-compliance with accreditation requirements for monitoring temperature, relative humidity, and other critical parameters in temperature controlled laboratories. The flexible alarming capabilities reduce the risk of imprecise measurements due out-of-tolerance conditions and reporting is designed to be easily customizable and exportable to spreadsheet for manipulation and analysis.
For Quality Control, as well as accreditation and regulatory assessments, laboratory managers have easy access to environmental condition data, secure and complete records, dependable alarming and reliable measurements. However, traditional monitoring equipment, such as chart recorders, is incapable of delivering the requisite data because of their relative inaccuracy, poor reporting capacity and lack of alarm capabilities.

What our customers say

"[The system is] the most accurate, least expensive solution for our needs. Coupled with the remote monitoring capability, the combination of loggers and software couldn't be beaten."

- Kirk Foster, Metrologist, US Space Center
