Weather consists of Meteorology, Airports, Roads and Rail, Defense, and New Weather Markets segments. This business area focuses on national meteorological institutes and customers whose operations or businesses are affected by the weather. These include airport organizations, road and rail authorities, defense forces, as well as wind energy  and maritime sectors.
 
Controlled Environment consists of Life Science and Targeted Industrial Applications segments. This business area serves customers who operate in tightly controlled and demanding environments where measuring, monitoring and controlling of precise conditions is required to increase quality, productivity and energy savings.
 
The geographical areas; Americas; Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and Asia Pacific (APAC), are the secondary reporting segments.
