Vaisala Story

The story of Vaisala began in the 1930s when professor Vilho Väisälä developed the radiosonde for measuring the meteorological conditions in the upper atmosphere. Since then Vaisala has grown to a world's leading company in environmental measurements.

Measuring the Sky tells the company's story from the 1930s all the way to 2008. The video is based on Business in the Family -series broadcast by MTV3 in Finland. 
 

 Global Innovator

 

Vaisala published " Global Innovator - The Story of Vaisala" history in 2006 to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary. The book is written by Professor Karl-Erik Michelsen.
