The company has its own state-of-the-art clean room and other facilities that enable the production and development of premium-class high technology. Approximately 20 percent of Vaisala's personnel work in product development. In 2008, Vaisala's research and development expenditure totaled EUR 24.6 million , representing 10.1 percent of the Group's net sales.
